Hello, I’m Dani, the creator behind Dusk Read - a quiet corner of the world where gentle stories, thoughtful printables and calming puzzles are designed to inspire calm, connection and creativity.My journey started with word search books crafted to support focus and relaxation. From there, Dusk Read has grown into a space where I now share emotionally supportive tools for both children and grown-ups - from heartfelt picture books to printable resources that invite stillness and spark wonder.My debut picture book, The Fairy Within Luna, was inspired by my own daughter’s quiet struggles with anxiety at school - and the quiet strength I saw growing in her, little by little, like magic. I wrote it to create something soft, safe and empowering for other sensitive children like her. A story that soothes bedtime worries and celebrates the quiet courage we all carry inside.Whether through mindful puzzles or imaginative storytelling, I’m passionate about helping readers slow down, feel seen and reconnect with their inner calm.When I’m not writing, I love long walks with my dachshund, making candles by hand and curling up with a book on cosy autumn evenings. I live in Dorset, UK, where the stillness of nature and the beauty of everyday moments inspire everything I create.
